Cisco-Linksys E3000 High-Performance Wireless-N Router Review
With dual-band awesomeness (2.4GHz and 5GHz), the The E3000 is a router that enables you to operate two discrete wireless networks simultaneously. You can also operate a virtual guest network on the 2.4GHz band that isolates computers from the rest of your network.

The Linksys E3000 has a four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch onboard, and a USB port,
which can be used with a mass storage device, but not to share a printer.
The router software is always rather lame, but we are quite interested in Cisco Connect. It’s very easy to setup the router, but do it Cisco’s way, or you might run into trouble.
Connecting additional PC clients to the network is a matter of using Cisco Connect to create a USB key and then plugging the key into each computer. Very quick and easy.
You can use Cisco Connect to change the router’s SSID or password, but doing so from within the web interface breaks Cisco Connect because the software doesn’t have this new information.
If you want to configure the guest network or modify the mediocre parental controls, Cisco Connect is the only means. If you want to forward a port or accomplish other complex tasks, the web interface is the only means. Changing the router’s SSID and password to their original values restores Cisco Connect, but wouldn’t it make sense to have everything in one interface?

I can’t see the external drive!! The network shows what I believe to be the external drive (appears as a computer) and asks for the network password. It doesn’t like my passowrd! I know I’m using the right one. How the hell do I view the external drive? I went to the admin page and I see it there. Anyone got advice?
having trouble with my E3000 and iPad. No matter what I try, the iPad shows the ssid but is not connected. Any suggestions ? Everything else connects fine.
Thanks,
I did a quick search, and apparently this is a common problem with the E3000 and iPad.
Apparently the 2.4Ghz band has better results than using 5Ghz.
Just for reference, I found these great instructions for connecting to a wireless network from an iPad:
